Empty Homes Program

Context Housing Finance has developed a funding model that delivers empty homes into use as affordable housing without the need for grant funding. Our objective is to deliver additional affordable housing to meet local needs by bringing empty homes back into use through working in partnership with Local Authorities and Registered Providers.

An integral part of our model is to work in conjunction with the local authority to identify housing needs and then to determine how best we can use our resources to acquire and renovate empty homes to meet these needs.

The CHF approach to bringing empty homes into use as affordable homes, through either a local authority or a registered provider demands the satisfaction of all parties concerned. CHF ensures that the property is suitable and robust to meet all regulations and requirements e.g. Decent Homes and HSSR standards. The due diligence has to be thorough and complete as we have to satisfy the occupants and the management operators.
